Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Gimmick Box Guide



This is a guide to all of the Gimmick Boxes hidden in Barry's Campaign of Resident Evil Revelations 2. We have included pictures of each one to assist you.

This walkthrough is NOT spoiler-free, so we recommend that you have played through the whole game at least once before using our guide. We also do not hold your hand between Boxes or tell you what to kill, when or how. Any times in our pictures are not necessarily representative of the time you will find the Box.

Some of the Boxes require you to have performed certain actions in previous Episodes, and in Episode 4 you can't collect them all in one run through.

The Boxes need to be opened to reveal the goodies inside. The first time you open a Box you will receive useful items such as Parts Boxes, Expansion Bags and high value gems. Subsequent openings can reveal almost any normal pick-ups: ammo, gems, herbs, bottles etc.

Only Natalia can open these Boxes. Move the circle until it glows yellow, then use the shoulder buttons to focus in on that spot. If it stays yellow you will hear a click and a lock will open. If it turns red at any point, re-adjust your circle until it turns yellow again. Some Boxes require you to do this multiple times. On a multi-lock Box, if you fail a lock, any locks that you successfully opened will still count.

Episode 1 - Penal Colony



1 - The box is in the Control Room of the Penal Colony.



2 - In the forest, follow the path though the trees.. The box is on the left just before you reach the clearing. at the end.

Episode 2 - Contemplation



1 - Go up the slope to the left of the Back Gate, before you go through, and open the wooden gate at the top. The box is to the left as you enter, next to fallen trees.



2 - Drop down into the building where you get the Back Gate Key. The box is on the left of the room.



3 - In the Fishing Village, head for the blue building near the beach with a Tower Emblem on the chimney. Natalia can crawl through a hole into the building to find the box ahead.



4 - Go up the stairs on the outside of the Wossek and follow the meal path around. The box is at the end.



5 - To get this box you need to kill Pedro as Claire and then pick up the drill in the Wossek as Barry. After the area with the large canopy and big blue doors you will find yourself in the area where Claire and Moira got separated from Neil. Go around the corridor and through the double doors. You will now be faced with stairs going up and down. Go all the way up to the top and drill the door open. Go inside the bathroom and jump across to the other building through the hole to the right. The box is to the left when you land.



6 - In the warehouse with the packing crates, the box is to the right of the shutter you use to leave.



7 - In the Operating Theatre guarded by Glasps, the box is to the right of the door that leads out to the electronic gate switch. Proceed with caution!



8 - In Claire's episode, Moira must unbar a door to the left of the drill door opposite the elevator in order for Natalia to be able to enter. The box is to the left of the room.



9 - Inside the Tower, before the climbing the stairs go around to the right, past a burning oil drum. The box is in this smaller room.

Episode 3 - Judgment



1 - In Claire's episode, Moira will unbar a door in the Sewers while Claire deals with a flame-throwing enemy. Before going through this door, jump across to a metal platform on the right and work your way around through an archway and drop down to use a valve handle. This will raise a gate out of the way. Then, as Barry, you will reach an area in the Sewers where Giant Whip Spiders will attack. Go down the stairs and left until you reach a semi-circular opening in the bottom of the wall with a Natalia box visible behind. Crouch down and walk through to open the box.



2 - After opening sluice gate No. 2, Barry must shoot a wooden barricade out of Natalia's way. This clears the path to the box.



3 - When you open the final gate in the sluice section, Natalia can return to the lower area where Barry was. Glasps protect this box in front of a pile of rubble in the centre of the area.



4 - When the path splits in two with a ladder either side, take the right ladder. A Glasp protects the box at the top.



5 - In the Quarry, send the Battery on the first conveyor belt and then use it to boost Natalia up to a tall platform to the right with a box at the top.

Episode 4 - Metamorphosis

In this episode you cannot get all the Gimmick Boxes in one playthrough. Claire's actions in her chapter determine if box 1 or 2 is obtainable in Barry's run through.



1 - In Claire's episode, don't use the sluice gate lever in Alex's control room. In Barry's episode, go down the ladder and up the other side. Natalia can crawl through a hole in a shipping container. Barry must shoot out the lock on another container to allow Natalia access to the box.



2 - In Claire's episode, do use the sluice gate lever in Alex's control room. In Barry's episode, you'll reach a building with a crawlspace into an office. The box is to the left when you enter.



3 - In the gas-filled chamber with a wooden platform in the middle, head for the single lit doorway with a minecart blocking the way. Moving this will reveal stairs to the left and an area with the box further on and to the right. You can open multiple locks on this box in one go if you are quick, but you will need to get some air up the stairs at some point.



4 - After using the Security Card Lv.1, there will be an open room containing two Revenants and a torture device. The box is also in here.



5 - After obtaining the Emblem Key, enter the room with the Grandfather Clock. The box is behind the desk to the left of the clock.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Military Box Guide



This is a guide to all of the Military Boxes hidden in Claire's Campaign of Resident Evil Revelations 2. We have included pictures of each one to assist you.

Episode 1 - Penal Colony



1 - In the torture chamber where you obtain the Gear Kog there is an assist jump. Boost Moira up and the box is in the corner at the end of the corridor.



2 - In the Library where you get the reading "Excerpt From The Trail", the box is in a dark corner at the back right of the room.



3 - When you reach the covered bridge head left. The box is at the right of the double doors you can't enter.

Episode 2 - Contemplation



1 - At the helicopter, go around to the other side of it. The box is near the front of the 'copter.



2 - At the helicopter, face away from it and go to the left of the area, around a fence. The box is in the shack in this area.



3 - Boost Moira into the building where you find the Battery. The box is on the opposite side of the room from the Battery.



4 - With your back to the doorway of the building where you find the Fuel, go around to the right until you reach a dead end containing the box.



5 - After getting separated from Neil, you will enter a diner with a chequerboard pattern on the floor. The box is on the left before you decend the stairs.



6 - In the operating theatre guarded by Slpoders, the box is in a dark corner to the left as you enter.

Episode 3 - Judgment



1 - In the Kierling courtyard, with your back to the Prometheus statue head to the right of the doors in front of you. The box is in an area between two buildings.



2 - When you obtain the Processing Plant Key, leave the trap room and head left. Enemies will burst out of a locked door. Enter this room to discover the box.



3 - In the Butchery put your back to the barred door, head forwards until you reach the area with pigs hanging from the ceiling. The chest is to the left through the pigs. This area is guarded by a large enemy who is best delt with first.



4 - Go through the barred door into the trap room. Make sure both characters are in the trap area before grabbing the key. Once the blades start, boost Moira up to the metal platform on the left. The box is at the end of the U shaped path. This is very time sensitive as you must get this then rescue Claire for it to count. You can't backtrack to this area later, you only get one chance at it.



5 - In the room with the lever to get the meat moving, the box is on the platform to the right of the lever.



6 - In the timed explosive path, boost Moira up to the right of the trap head doors. Before dropping down, take the path to the left. The box is at the end here. You cannot get back up here once you've dropped down. You should have ample time to unlock this even though it's a lot of locks. You only need about 20 seconds after opening it to make it out of the shutter.



7 - In the Sewers, after Evgeny opens the gate, head straight forwards all the way to the dead end through the tunnel ahead. Climb the ledge on the left side to find the box.



8 - Working through the Sewers, you will reach a high platform where you can boost Moira up. The box is on the ledge.

Episode 4 - Metamorphosis



1 - In the turbine room you will come across a grate held up by two breakable padlocks. Go through here and the box is just ahead to the right.



2 - In the outside timed area, the box is on a lower ledge near the start of the run. It is very possible to die here if you do not step off cautiously. The best way is to side step gently just after the plank on the floor or you may completely overshoot the platform below and plunge to your death. This is timed, but you do have plenty of time.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Tower Emblems Guide



This is a guide to all 38 of the Tower Emblems hidden in the Campaign of Resident Evil Revelations 2. We have included pictures of each one to assist you.

This walkthrough is NOT spoiler-free, so we recommend that you have played through the whole game at least once before using our guide. We also do not hold your hand between Emblems or tell you what to kill, when or how. Our suggestions are, in our view, the most practical ways to obtain each Emblem, but they are not always the only ways. Any times in our pictures are not necessarily representative of the time you will find the Emblem.

Some of the Emblems require you to have performed certain actions in previous Episodes and many can be obtained by either Claire or Barry. In many cases you can also use Moira's crowbar, Natalia's brick or a sub-weapon to destroy the Emblems.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 - Tower Emblems Guide - Episode 4 - Metamorphosis





1/10 - When you enter the honeycomb barrier area look to the right and the Emblem is on top of some equipment (we have circled this in red). This can only be obtained with Claire and needs to be shot.



2/10 - In the timed section when you are authorised to panic, go down the slope and drop down. The Emblem is under the walkway you just came from. Only Claire can get this and it needs to be shot.



3/10 - In the timed secion where Moira says "Run run run!" look down at the central support structure to see the Emblem. You can only get this with Claire and you need to shoot it.



4/10 - As Barry, in the area with the two outside sluice gates, look towards the bright floodlight furthest right and furthest away. The Emblem is on the light support at the top. If you pulled the sluice switch with Claire you can get much closer to it but you can hit it with a handgun either way. You can only get this with Barry.



5/10 - On the crane stand by lever No.3 on the opposite side to where you start and look down and right to the pillar below to see the Emblem (we have circled this in red). You can only get this with Barry and it needs to be shot.



6/10 - In the area with the mine carts and track, jump across to the track and follow it all the way to the end. The Emblem is on the rear of the last cart. You can only get this in Barry's episode and it can be hit with the knife or a brick.



7/10 - After clearing the gas and taking the elevator down, look up to see the Emblem high on a girder above.



8/10 - In the Mansion, go to the bottom of the wooden stairs and turn left. The Emblem is to the left of a packing crate beneath the stairs. You need to crouch to see it at the lowest part of the stairs. You can only get this with Barry and it needs to be shot.



9/10 - After using the Security Card Level 2, crounch and enter the large warehouse area with lots of packing crates. Go down the sloped pipes and head right until you reach a cage with packing crates in it. Turn 180 degrees and look down through the grate in the floor. The Emblem is in dirty water below and it has to be shot or exploded (we did that accidentally!). You can only get this with Barry.



10/10 - You can only get this Emblem if you pick up the gun with Moira at the end of Claire's episode 3 otherwise you will get the bad ending and you will never get to this section of the map. When you are in the helicopter as Claire, look at the top of the cliff (ignoring Barry and Alex). Look for some wreckage sticking out of the top of the mountain that looks like a TV aerial. When the helicopter flies to the right use the rifle scope to zoom in on this area to see the Emblem on a rock slightly down from the wreckage. You can only get this in Barry's episode, but you can only get this as Claire from inside the 'copter.
